Mass. Foreclosure Petitions, Deeds Fall March 2011

The Boston Herald reported today that both foreclosure petitions, the first step in the foreclosure process, and foreclosure deeds, the last step in the process, fell in the month of March in Massachusetts, according to a report released by The Warren Group.

Foreclosure petitions were down 59.4 percent in March 2011 compared to March 2010, a difference of 1,533 petitions (2,581 to 1,048). Deeds also fell 60 percent in March 2011, falling from 1,391 last March to 552, a difference of…

Paid-parking Plans for Downtown Haverhill

The Eagle Tribune recently reported that Haverhill, MA Mayor James Fiorentini as well as the city council is in the works of developing a paid parking system for the downtown area of Haverhill. Fiorentini wishes to achieve a 15 percent vacancy rate for on-street parking, so there are always spaces to be found, and believes that putting the correct price on select parking spaces can help to attain those numbers.
